Latest creation It was last April, right in the heart of Touraine, that the Indre-et-Loire Departmental Harmony Orchestra created the score Agapes Tourangelles. For your taste buds, your chops, and your ears! For their third musical project, OHDIL really pulled out all the stops. Around an imaginary meal prepared by Claudie BARAT and Anne RUILIER, I composed this grand musical fresco (about 23 minutes of music – and a little over half an hour including the introductions of each dish). Combining music and gastronomy, the Agapes Tourangelles project was initiated by Olivier PETIT, conductor of the OHDIL. In total, 7 dishes made from Touraine products provide the structure of the piece. The food-and-wine pairing (with wines from Touraine, of course) is mentioned in each piece. It all wouldn’t be complete without creating a Bacchanale, a truly fitting piece of music for the occasion! The last piece composed for a Grand Symphonic Orchestra, the Agapes Tourangelles are published by Éditions Romulus.
